Rules Governing ALTA/USTA Play 1. One practice per team per week. 2. All practice times and matches must be coordinated for the season through the scheduler and posted. 3. League teams can reserve up to two courts one day a week for two hours for team practice. If two teams are scheduled for practice at the same time, team Captains are expected to coordinate with the scheduler for court assignments. In the unlikely event two teams are scheduled for home league matches at the same time, each team will be limited to two courts and team Captains must coordinate with the scheduler for court assignments. 4a. Foxworth league play requires 50% resident participation. This participation comprehends 50% of an ALTA/USTA Roster. Exemptions may be granted by majority vote of the Tennis Committee. If after three consecutive seasons, the 50% threshold is not achieved, the team may not be allowed to play in the neighborhood. Teams with a higher number of Foxworth residents have priority if scheduling conflicts arise. Teams must appoint a Foxworth resident as captain. Team captains are responsible for collecting non-resident fees. Team rosters and court fees are to be submitted to the Board of Directors via the Tennis Committee. 4b. League rules apply when adding new members to existing Foxworth teams. Generally, an individual moving up to play at a higher level will not influence an existing team's level. Team Captains are responsible for calculating the impact of adding a player to their team roster. Foxworth residents have priority over non-Foxworth residents for team membership. 5. A team membership fee of $25.00 will be assessed for each outside adult player per season with a cap at $50.00 for the calendar year. The Team membership fee is an annual fee beginning in January of each year. A team membership fee of $10.00 will be assessed for each outside junior player (under 18) per season with a cap at $20.00 for the calendar year. The Team membership fee is an annual fee beginning in January of each year. 6a. Team Captains are responsible for insuring Fees, Rosters and Schedules are submitted to the Tennis Committee immediately following ALTA/USTA Captain’s meetings. A single check for the total Team Membership Fees representing the total number of non-Foxworth team members must accompany the roster and schedule submission. Court reservations for practice nights WILL NOT be assigned by the Tennis Committee until team rosters and all applicable fees are submitted by the Team Captain. Court reservations for practice are on a first come/first serve basis. All teams MUST be approved by the Tennis Committee prior to the beginning of League play. This will insure all scheduling and fee requirements are met before each season commences. Up to two (2) courts may be reserved for team practices. The fourth court will be left open for Foxworth residents. If two teams are scheduled for practice at the same time, team Captains are expected to coordinate with the scheduler for court assignments. 6b. Children of Foxworth residents are excluded from the non-resident Team Membership Fee rule. 7. ALTA/USTA Captains are responsible for assuring that the courts and all gates are left secured and in good order. The gate to the pool MUST NOT be propped open for restroom use. Courts and gazebo must be cleared of all trash and food and drink items. If captains are not able to supervise clean-up, they are required to appoint someone to take the responsibility. 8.
